it is better to buy an ice cream already made, to it’s work you should know exactly about how to use ingredients. any mistakes could affect the wished result. too expensive

We were looking for a good machine that didn’t need ice and salt which is messy. We bought two ice cream makers for our married children and they absolutely love the ease and convenience of making ice cream with this machine. We had the vanilla at our Christmas dinner and all agreed it is the best in the world, using the recipes given with the machine, and the lemon sorbet warranted a phone call to report another success. They both look forward to trying out more recipes. Probably the only draw back is having freezer space to keep the bowl cold so I wouldn’t get one for someone with limited space. But then again, ice cream lovers will find a way!

I bought this as a Christmas for my girlfriend in December of 2007. Upon receiving it, she was excited. Then she made exactly ONE batch of ice cream with it. It was not creamy at all, and when placed in the freezer, accumulated ice crystals around it. I tasted this ice cream and it did not even taste that great. We immediately realized that this item was more trouble than it was worth.

Every time I look at the Cuisinart Ice cream maker I am painfully reminded of how I completely wasted $74.95. We never use this device because for $5 you can buy a delicious gallon of Edy’s ice cream. The Cuisinart collects dust in the kitchen. Put this in the same category as the Delonghi Espresso machine that my brother bought his wife: a complete waste of money and space.

I’m sure that housewives and retirees will love to use this thing to make lousy ice cream for their bunko parties, but I have no use for it. Anyone want to buy a “Like new” Cuisinart 2-Quart Ice Cream Maker?

I purchased this product thinking it would be easier than making a trip to the store for a half gallon of ice cream. It took my wife almost seven hours to make the ice cream. One of the recipes that came with the product needed several hours of preparation before the half hour needed in the suprisingly loud machine. My wife and I had to stop watching our television program for over twenty minutes while the ice cream finished. It was more trouble than I thought it would be. I’d rather run to the store. Ice cream was very good though.

I bought this for my wife and she did not like the product. I guess we were not informed that the mixing tank should be frozen for many hours before use. It was used one time and will probably never be used again. The unit is not as user friendly as advertised – if we would have known more – the purchase would not have been made
